Loyalty apps for small businesses in 2026: 12 compared, A to Z
Every “best loyalty app” list is written by someone selling one, this one included. So here are the rules: A to Z, no scores, every fact read on each company’s own site and dated, and our own product marked as ours.
What to check before you pick one
A loyalty platform for a small business does one job: it gets a customer to come back. Most of the difference between them is in how much friction they put in the way of that. Six questions sort them quickly.
- Does the customer have to download an app? Every app you ask a customer to install loses most of them at the counter. A card saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet needs nothing installed.
- Does it work on both iPhone and Android? Some platforms only make an Apple Wallet pass. Half your customers may be on Android.
- Which kinds of card does it run? A stamp card suits a café. A barber may want a pack of prepaid visits, a gym a monthly membership, a shop points or tiers.
- How is it priced? Per location, per card issued, per customer or per message. Per-customer pricing gets more expensive as the programme works.
- Can you try it without a payment card? A trial that bills on day 15 unless you remember to cancel is a different offer.
- Does it speak your customers’ language? The card, the sign-up page and the messages all reach customers, not only the owner.
How this list was made
We read each company’s own website: its pricing page, its feature pages and, where it has one, its legal notice. Where a site does not say something, the list says “Not stated”, not a guess. Prices are not printed here because they change; each platform’s comparison page, linked at the end, has its prices and the date they were read.
The list is in alphabetical order. There is no winner, because there is not one: a Dutch café that only wants a stamp card and a UK gym that sells memberships need different tools.

- Languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic
A good fit when: you want more than a stamp card (a prepaid balance, a monthly membership, a pack of visits) in the same Wallet card, priced per location. Look elsewhere if you need your till to add stamps on its own today: staff scan the card on a phone or tablet.
Which kind of business needs which
- Cafés, bakeries and juice bars: a stamp card in the phone’s Wallet is enough to start. Look for no customer app, both Wallets and a QR code for the counter.
- Barbers, salons and beauty: a stamp card works, but a prepaid pack of visits or a monthly membership often works better. Check that the platform can take the payment.
- Gyms and studios: memberships and visit passes, with the balance shown on the card.
- Shops and multi-location businesses: points or tiers, pricing per location, and staff access per venue.
- Chains with their own app already: a platform with an API and till connectors matters more than the card design.
Whichever you choose, start with the simplest card that will bring people back, put the QR code where customers wait, and look at the numbers after a month.
