Apple Wallet
Your loyalty card next to your customers’ bank cards on their iPhone. Added in one scan, updated on its own, no app.
A sample card, drawn exactly like the real one. Yours carries your logo and your colour.
Apple Wallet is the app on every iPhone that holds bank cards, boarding passes and tickets. It also holds loyalty cards, and a card there is in front of the customer every time they pay with their phone. Apple calls these cards passes.
To issue one, a business needs an Apple pass certificate, a server that signs each card and pushes updates, and a page that hands the card to the phone. TAPPI does all of that for you. You design the card with your logo and colour, print the QR code, and every customer who scans it gets your card in Apple Wallet.
The customer scans your QR code with the camera, types their name on your page and taps “Add to Apple Wallet”. No App Store, no account to create.
When your team scans the card to add a stamp or points, Apple pushes the change to the iPhone. The customer sees the new total without opening anything.
Depending on your plan, a message you send shows on the lock screen like any other notification, and the card can come up when the customer is near your shop.
In numbers
Worked out from your answers: about 300 customers a week and an average spend of about £25. Not a promise.
Prices exclude VAT. Every plan also includes your Google review page.
The front carries your logo, the card’s name, the customer’s progress (stamps, points, balance or visits left) and a QR code your team scans at the till. The back holds your details, the terms and anything else you want customers to find.
On recent versions of iOS a card can also be a poster, with your own artwork across the face, and carry buttons on the front, such as “Add funds” on a prepaid card. TAPPI’s card studio shows you the iPhone as you design, so what you see is what lands on the phone.
Android phones have no Apple Wallet. The same QR code gives an Android customer the same card in Google Wallet, so one card covers everyone who walks in.
